Below is the additional inspections and replacements that are for the Mercedes B Service.
When we do a B Service, all of the A Service is completed as well.
Some Mercedes may require a couple of extra checks that may not be listed here.

B Service (A Service plus the following)

Brakes

  • Test drive and and check for braking smoothness (are the rotors warped or are suspension components worn?).
  • Remove and reinstall wheels, rotate if necessary, does not apply to vehicles with different size tires front/rear.
  • Check brake pads for lining thickness front and rear while tires are removed.

Vehicle Underbody

  • Visual check for leakage from major components.
  • Visual check for chafe marks on lines and harnesses.
  • Check condition of front ball joints and front suspension components.
  • Check condition of steering of steering components.
  • Check condition of rear suspension components

Engine Compartment

  • Visual check for leakage from major components.
  • Visual check for chafing of lines and harness and components.
  • Check and correct fluid level of level control (wagon only).
  • Check and correct fluid level of power steering.
  • Check condition of belts.
  • Lubricate throttle linkage, check function and condition where applicable.

Front, Rear of Vehicle

  • Inspect headlamp range adjustment of headlamps (NOT for xenon headlamps).
  • Inspect headlamp condition.
  • Replace windshield wiper rubber inserts (may need complete blade assembly replacement).
  • Inspect condition of rear wiper blade (if applicable).
  • Check and correct fluid level of rear window washer fluid.

Additional services required by model and year

  • Oxygen Sensor Replacement, required at intervals of 100,000 mi.
  • Spark Plug Replacement, required at intervals of 60,000 mi.
  • Replace brake fluid every 2 years.
  • Replace coolant every 4 years.
